closet sale fit

Doll Funeral Closet Sale and Chill

My fit was kooky and comfy today for a kooky and comfy day. First, we headed to Doll Funeral for the closet sale. We went early but I couldn't find anything I liked. I also met up with the creator of Planetairhead to pick up Moni's B'day present - a mixed metal fairy themed necklace. The 222 Spadina market was happening at the same time but it got shut down. Some say it was management issues and some say the owner is a scumbag creep. I'm not sure what the truth is but I snagged some pins and a cupcake before they closed. There was also some vintage sellers and a shop that sold handmade stuff. I bought the belt I'm wearing and I SHOULD have bought a cute strawberry t-shirt I saw but unfortunately passed it by. I messaged the seller later to see if they still had it but it was sold. After this, we went to Denny's and had breakfast for dinner (but it was also kinda my first proper meal of the day at 5pm).

After Denny's we headed to Queen St and checked out both Black Market Vintage shops. The first one was a bit overwhelming but they had a section with some j-fashion and a TV with Mana-sama on it. I picked up a 2012 edition of Fruits Magazine. At the other location, I got a Bebe top and a pink, nightgown esque top. I love clothes and I love everything I got but I would like to shop my own closet more and I want to save some money so I am going to go on an indefinite No-Buy. Underconsumption is hard when you're into a material hobby like J-fashion but I don't want to feed into materialism too much anymore. All in all, it was a good day.

Harajuku Picnic and Chinatown Stroll

Today was a banger. Despite the rain, the Harajuku Picnic hosted by Ghost Girl Goods went on as planned. At first, it was outdoors in Albert Standing Park but we all had to hike across the street to a mall for the remainder of the day. As always, it's cool to meet other people interested in J-Fashion. I brought sandwiches - half were cream cheese and cucumber, half were ham and cheese. I also brought my Fruits magazine photo book and my GLB vol. 5. Another comm member brought a Rococo magazine and two Larme magazine and we spent some time looking through them. After the picnic, we raced downtown to go to Doll Funeral before it closed. We got there just in time and I bought a doll hand keychain that I'll turn into a necklace. I also got a free pair of heart shaped sunglasses. Then we got pastries and headed to the Japanese makeup store called Reiwatakiya. I bought a My Melody makeup mirror. We ended the day chitchatting over bubble tea in a nearby, nearly abandoned mall. Overall, had a great day.
